"The founders of Build Better than a Border Fence recently lamented that it would cost $21 million just for the warning signs on Herman Cain's proposed electric border fence. I know how to reduce the cost: Remove the warning signs!"

"Herman Cain wants to electrify the fences on the borders and make waterboarding legal. I think that he should be waterboarded and made to tell the truth about all the sexual allegations he is accused of and, if they are found to be true, he should be electrocuted."

"What is with CNN's vendetta against Republican candidate (Herman) Cain? It's been going on for two weeks, already. Wolf Blitzer starts salivating when he begins his daily rant. Where was CNN when ex-President Bill Clinton and all the other Democrat politicians were canoodling around Washington, D.C. and all?"

"It really pained me to read the vent that said ‘conservatives despise liberals'. I'm a staunch Republican and I might not be too fond of a lot of liberals but ‘despise' them? That's awfully strong language and the person who wrote that vent is obviously as much a part of the problem as any hate-spewing liberal is. Shame on you!"

"I haven't watched Regis since soon after Kathy Lee and him split and haven't missed him or his show. I did like Kathy Lee, but I never cared for the dizzy blonde that took her place."

"To the venter that believes gun owners will create a totalitarian society. All I can say is, huh? A little grade school education is in order here. A totalitarian society comes from the government not the citizens. If the population has no defense from an oppressive government, that opens the door to an oppression. The right to free speech and the ability to defend that free speech is all that separates the U.S. from present day Syria and cold war USSR."

"So JoePa has lung cancer. Cry me a river. Why should I care if a guy that clearly supports pedophilia is sick?"

@ Dale: Actually, I DID make a comment about 30 round mags. It does make it easier for target practice. I guess maybe you need to reread things.....

Fourth venter: Liberals love to attempt insults as try to take a person's words out of context. I've never received a direct answer from any of them....

    "It seldom is worth reading."

I concur. Especially when a certain poster calls the Vent and then turns right around and comments on his own vent. What a loser.

    chatmandu002,

    It seldom is worth reading.

    First Venter:

"Remove the warning signs" you say. Those signs must be posted on both sides. Think this through again.

    Second Venter:

Don't dismiss the possibility that Herman has told us the truth. There is little dispute that he has handled these allegations poorly. And that's likely to be sufficient to end his political career. Where he fails to open up the books on these allegations, we are left to wonder what he is hiding.

    Third Venter:

Neither Clinton nor Cain handled things well. But Monica Lewinski did not complain. Rather she relished in the attention. Cain's accusers apparently did not. So can you make this distinction?

    Fourth Venter:

    I share your sentiments.

    Fifth Venter:

Your first mistake may have been watching Regis in the first place. I don't see much difference. But I do understand that eventually Kelly became more popular than Kathy Lee. Do you like her new spot on the mid day Today show? I like Hoda, but do not warm up to Kathly Lee.

    Sixth Venter:

Thinking I must have missed something on the day we had that vent about gun control legislation, I went back to re-read the vents. The first venter that day said "Here in Arizona, we live in an almost totalitarian, Second Amendment-rights population, at least a highly vocal one." Have you ever wondered what a totalitarian society [not government] might be like? You did a fine job of reminding us what a totaltarian government is like, but failed to examine the possibilities of a totalitarian society full of gun nuts. Then, retreating a bit, the venter says, "at least a highly vocal [society]," opening up the notion that the society is a highly vocal gun nuts/Second Amendments Rights society. Care to take a whack at it? You mis-read the piece.

Those who commented on this venter used the same old line of NRA talking points. So a commenter [me] suggested that the NRA ought to make some reasonable proposals of its own. 30+ round maganzines are idiotic. Even Slabside cannot justify their existence.

    Seventh Venter:

Supporting is one thing, turning your back on it is another thing. Both are wrong. And Joe is having to pay for it.

The vent wasn't worth reading today.
