"I have some biblical advice for Rod Livdahl (letter to the editor, June 10), who claims to be a person of faith and daily Bible reader: Stop judging other Christians or you will be judged yourself. Remove the beam from your own eye before plucking the speck from your neighbor's eye. Those are Jesus' words, not mine."

"I am most appreciative of Mr. Livdahl's letter to the editor (Friday). He reminds me of an old English literature teacher I had in college, who once told our class, ‘I like Jesus Christ; I just don't like Christians.' To expand on that sentiment, I would just like to say that religious people impress me the most when their words and - especially - their deeds truly reflect their beliefs. When so-called ‘believers' spew venomous rhetoric, I walk away."

"So many of these Vents sound like they were written by very old, cranky people - so mean-spirited, bitter and selfish that they refuse to give credit to others for good work, condemn people who do not agree with their views, jealously guard their benefits while denying others the same benefits, and seem so paranoid and suspicious that I can't help but think that they must hole themselves up in their little dwellings day after day, staying glued to their TVs watching FOX News."

"All these people protesting Sheriff Joe's raids must not care if their identities are stolen. How many of the protesters are illegals? You are criminals."

"I enjoy reading the vent for some unique perspectives, but you should exercise a little editorial judgment when people use your column to slander the president with vicious name calling. I can't believe you actually published the last online entry for June 13. People with that much hatred should not be given a public forum, and you should apologize for your complicity in encouraging such behavior.

    Amen, Brother.

I've had those same thoughts. Hope we are wrong, but suspect we are right.

Identify theft can be a problem, one which could best be addressed by comprehensive immigration reform as was proposed by John McCain, version 1.0.

I agree. I will refer to our President as President Obama or as Barack Obama, but never by a last name only. I do refer to Bush 41 and 43, by last name but only because saying President Bush is ambiguous. Not my fault, theirs.

And when they are out of office, I shall refer to former presidents by these same longer names. Ronald Reagan can be an exception. His adopted son is also Ronald Reagan. And where the use of the term Reaganomics was coined by his advocates, I do us it. But I shall never refer to the Affordable Healthcare act as O_ _ _ _care.

That includes the “Bush Haters” . . staying glued to their TVs and watching CNN News.

Not quite as many since the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the "Legal Workers Arizona Act,” Arizona law that imposes sanctions against businesses that hire illegal immigrants.

    “Vicious name calling?”

But, the Vent does print a lot of the low opinion and derogatory “Neo-cons” (name-calling) by progressive Liberals and the neo-fascist Left.

5th Venter: Here are a few hateful quotes. I'm sure you'll recognize the names:

"A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee". (Former president William Jefferson Clinton speaking to Edward Kennedy about Barack Obama).

"He is light skinned, with no negro dialect". (Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid speaking about Barack Obama).

"He ran a gas station in St. Louis". (Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speaking of Gandhi).

"You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent". (Vice President Joseph Biden).
