I oft hear criticism of President Obama for not allowing more off shore oil-rigs, more hydraulic fracking, more pipeline through these United States, etc. Those critics should be pleased to know that, this week, a new pipeline from Oklahoma to the Gulf Coast is now transporting 150,000 barrels of oil per-day with expansion planned that will increase that amount to 400,000 barrels per day by 2014.
Do not celebrate too quickly; all of that oil will be sold on the open market where producers hope to boost profits.
They can because our demands are great as we are extremely needy. For that, you and I will continue to see higher prices for gasoline at the pump.

In 2008 then candidate Obama said, "If someone wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can, it's just that it will bankrupt them...Under my plan of cap-and trade system, electricity rates would naturally skyrocket." Don't be fooled by a desperate socialist this close to election when he tries every trick in the book to make you think he is for cheap energy. After the election, should he win, life in America will indeed be changed forever, and you won't be happy with the changes.

The Canadian company hopes to quickly get approval from President Obama and federal agencies for the southern section of the pipeline between Oklahoma and the Gulf Coast – A 485-mile line from Oklahoma to refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast that would remove a critical bottleneck in the country's oil transportation system.
“Obama critics should be happy now with oil exploration?”
Only another publicity stunt, as President Obama needs low gasoline prices to get re-elected. But he can't lower gas prices without alienating the far left environmental wing of the Democrat Party, which includes wealthy donors in Hollywood.

Obama could authorize a spider web of pipelines, allow mining in the Grand Canyon, eliminate the National Debt, solve the mortgage problem and get everybody right side up in their mortgage --- and it would make NO DIFFERENCE.
The right wingers would still moan and groan *itch about how terrible he is.

Why do the Republicans have such a short memory. Fact 2011 the U.S. exported over 3 million barrels of gas and other fules a DAY, fact the Keystone pipe line goes to Arthur refinery in Beaumont TX. controlled by Saudi Arabia and then ends at a port for world export, Fact Exxon- Mobil profits up 28% in 2011, Fact congress ok a liquefaction plant so the U.S. can export natural gas. Republicans have no problem with U.S corporations out sourcing American jobs to communist countries and using slave labor, paying under 12% U.S tax. and want to lower corporate taxs even lower and give corporations billions in tax refunds. U.S. corporations are hiding trillion dollars in off shore accounts. YES THE COMMUNIST REPUBLICAN PARTY IS NOT CONCERNED FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, only corporate profits.

Our memories are anything but short, but we'll take a capitalist over a socialist any day of the week. You know Willie if Obummer did all the things you mentioned I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. The day a socialist starts acting like a capitalist, the world must surely be at an end. Remember Truth, those capitalist are responsible for the high standard of living we all enjoy today. I know you think the trickle down effect is a joke, but nothing that ever reached the bottom wasn't first created at the top. Obummer cannot make water run uphill. This is a desperate socialist trying to fool people into giving him another 4 years to fundamentally change America. I heard he's going to dump Biden and put Hillery in as VP. That should give him a boost with the female vote.

Ya the price of gas is going down a little bit. Maybe comrade obama really isn't h3ll bound determined to to destroy capitalism. Either that or it's an election year. Whatever it is most people can't see more than one move ahead anyway so he's bound to pick up a few votes.

RH,
There's nothing wrong with capitalism per se but when reckless companies become too big to fail, big enough to take down our national economy or some guy works hard for 25 years supporting capitalism only to watch his pension torn away and given to a millionaire in the name of capitalism......surely something is wrong here.
Are you completely unable to meet others halfway and acknowledge a point here?
P.s. I was relieved to awaken this morning to find that you are not king and happy as I am every morning to find that Barack Obama is still the President of the United States of America.

There are problems with capitalism, but it's the wealth builder that created this great country, and socialism is what will destroy it. Socialism will suck us dry like a vampire. If you examine what is available on Obama it becomes obvious that he is a socialist that seeks to tear down America so it can be rebuilt into a socialistic country. I strongly suggest you examine Obama's past and current friends and associates to see what his beliefs and intentions are. He has hidden from public view almost every document of his life that would tell us about his personal beliefs. All there is to see are the documented lives of the people closest to him. Several are avowed communists. Some have openly called for the destruction of capitalism. They have infiltrated our education and government institutions and are now coming on strong in what I see as an attempt to destroy America's sovereignty in favor of a world controlled by the United Nations. Your standard of living... under their plan...would naturally go down like a lead weight thrown into the sea of humanity, and you wont have any reason to defend your borders anymore cause no one will want to come here anymore as the American dream ends. Socialism sounds great to poor people who have nothing to lose, but all it is is a change of power that must control every aspect of society in order to stay in power. That means a total lose of freedom. Look at any country that has experimented with this and you see a failed economy and society.. After WW2 we should have bombed the Soviet Union into submission and rebuilt them as a capitalistic society that would have been an ally against the creation of any other countries bent on communist self-destruction.

Rational Human - First, cap and trade was first proposed by the Reagan administration.
Second, Obama’s cap and trade standards were NOT enacted.
Third, five years prior to President Obama taking office domestic energy costs had more than doubled.
Since President Obama has taken office, more than ever commercial buildings are switching to energy conservation.
The Mall of America in Minneapolis claims that they are reducing their energy costs and that most of the energy saving technology they purchase pays for itself in four years.
Thank-you President Obama

Last Thursday the Obamanation said, “Since I’ve been president, federal spending has actually risen at the lowest pace in nearly 60 years.” I'm betting you believe that lie as well.
fae4now posted at 9:50 pm on Tue, May 29, 2012.
Rational,
It's only a lie if you can prove it false. Can you?
Rational Human posted at 11:46 am on Wed, May 30, 2012.
Not to you fae, but then you can't educate a head a lettuce. But in answer to your is there a sound if a tree crashes in the forest and no one is there, yes a lie is a lie is a lie no matter who knows it to be a lie. All one has to do is look at the tremendous growth of the federal government and national debt under this Obamanation to know that federal spending is higher under this administration than the combined spending under several previous presidents. The Obamanation was speaking to a large crowd of simple minded liberals when he spoke that lie and didn't expect it to garner the attention is has. He thinks cause he got a free pass to the White House last time that he should get one now too. You know that affirmative action thing everyone talks about. Personally, I'll be for set-a-sides and quotas when the NBA and the NFL allow their teams to match the general makeup of our nation's various ethnic groups. As it is now, only guvment jobs be handed out fairly. lol Lettuce heads included.

Rational,
Try as you may to 'bait' me with cheap shots, I am committed to taking the high road. Haven't participated in name-calling since....ummmm....about the fifth grade.
You've offered nothing convincing to prove the President's statement a lie.
Perhaps the 'facts' as you state them are supported by your friends at the 'Psychic Network"?
Run along now. It must be time for your medication.
Rational Human posted at 9:32 pm on Wed, May 30, 2012.
fae, am I the only one who has to prove their statements here? If you believe the Obamanation's assertion that “Since I’ve been president, federal spending has actually risen at the lowest pace in nearly 60 years.” perhaps you could show us the evidence. Certainly he can't. Anyone that has been paying even a modicum of attention these last 4 years can easily see that he has outspent every president in our history by a minimum of a ratio of 2 to 1. Go do some research and then come back and show me with facts and figures that this federal government's spending has risen at the lowest pace in 60 years. It's ludicrous that he would even say such a rediculous thing. Even more so that anyone in their right mind would believe it. If Bush baby would have made a stupid statement like that it would be front page news for a week, but this Trojan Horse once more gets a pass. The budget deficit in 2009, 2010 and 2011 were the largest in history. The Washington Post, in a May 25 article, gave the assertion “three Pinocchios,” while the Associated Press also criticized the administration’s fiscal assessment in a May 26 article. The Wall Street Journal weighed in on May 25 with an editorial, “History Boys: Obama’s fiscal blowout that never happened, according to Obama.”
http://www.skymachines.com/US-National-Debt-Per-Capita-Percent-of-GDP-and-by-Presidental-Term.htm This site alone shows the figures so that anyone can see that the percentage of debt increase has continually risen.
Our debt was at 74% of gross domestic product at the end of Bush's last term, but is now at 99.7% of gdp. In just 3 short years it grew almost 25%. Are you really so daft as to not be able to see we are about to default on our loans? What do you think happens when our debt reaches 100% of gdp? Countries stop loaning us money when we can't even make enough to pay the interest. But let's not stop the spending. He be having it under control so's you folks dont hasta worry.
