God bless Arizona Rep. Trent Franks for trying to stop sexually-biased abortion in America. Apparently, mothers are allowed to kill the unborn just because they did not want a boy or a girl. In any other area of society discrimination based upon sex is illegal. Apparently, we are the only advanced nation in the planet that allows this! And we ask God to have mercy on our souls? Do we deserve mercy if we allow this practice to continue?

Keep the government out of the womb. Abortion is still legal.

"Fetal Sexual Preference" = just one more reason for the Femi-Nazi's and their Left-Wing Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/Democrat .."fellow-travelers" to murder living human fetuses.

More that 300,000 Fetus Murders every year in America.

More that 6,000,000 (the same number of Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, Mentally Retarded and Homosexuals who were living human beings murdered by the Nazi's of Germany)....living human fetuses murdered since Roe vs Wade Supreme Court Decision allowing ..........ABORTION-AT-WILL (aka FETAL MURDER).

It is interesting that the House of Representatives decided to ‘Suspend the Rules’ on this bill. This, ‘Suspend the Rules’ procedure is brought by the Speaker of the House and is customarily recommended by committee chairs. The Republican Speaker and the House republican majority knew, without doubt, they could not get a full two-thirds vote on this bill. Therefore this charade was a “cover your backside” maneuver for a bill that was poorly conceived, highly intrusive, and unenforceable.

Thank you (not) Trent Frank for wasting time and money.

Will someone please inform us where you can find actual facts that in Arizona or the U.S. that abortions are performed because of the babies sex. I know this is happening in Communist China and other countries but not in the U.S. As Joe Friday would say, just the facts mam, just the facts.

About 57% of girls in the U.S. between 15 and 19 have not had sexual intercourse according to a new report by the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that is up from 49% of teenage girls who said they were virgins in 1995. Associated Press

Leon Ceniceros, you like numbers, FACT, 925 million people suffer from malnutrition, 14% of the world population, FACT 16,000 to 18,000 starve to death each day, FACT 6 million children DIE from hunger each year. Over 24 million were murdered buy the Russians after World War II.

Liberals feel there is nothing wrong with aborting (killing)a baby if you don't like it's gender or race, and using abortion for birth control. Yet THEY label conservative as backwoods hateful racist bigot's. OH the hypocrisy !!

Why is it election after election people fall for the same old "straw man" nonsense that the candidates throw at us? Each side wags their fingers at the other, but never about issues that matter in close. The education system is broken in Arizona, quite arguably the worst in the nation. We have politicians and sheriffs wasting tons of money chasing birth certificates. Our legislators think the sane world should be able to get guns in cereal boxes, (pun intended, but not far fetched). So years ago the wanna be incumbents would parade the prostitutes they arrested in front of the TV cameras to prove they are earning their "keep". Now what? Arizona prides themselves as being "independant". Nonsense.....calling oneself independant is a poor smoke screen for not knowing what else to do. Making loud noises is also no replacement for sound policy. My arizona is about as conservative a place as anywhere outside of Afghanistan, and thr politicians still make fools of themselves on a daily basis, getting NOTHING done of substance. Grow up Arizona, this continual "Dukes of Hazzard" act this state champions is so stale, we have become an embarassment to the rest of the country.

Dear mikefromaz: There are 50,count 'em, 50 states in the union. Not 57 as the marxist-in-chief would have you to believe. I'll help pack your bags.

Abortion is horrible, partial is even worse, and planned parenthood is using my tax dollars to kill innocent children. This procedure should be done in EXTREME cases ie: rape, incest, mother's life in danger. AND, it shouldn't be using tax dollars, but performed by a competent, licensed professional, with private dollars.

I'm so glad Trent is working so hard on this issue instead of other things like, oh, jobs, the economy, etc.

    /sarcasm off

This is a waste of time and taxpayer dollars. It's a solution to a non-existent problem here in the US.

btw... kj, PP doesn't use tax dollars to pay for abortion services. The Hyde Amendment already prevents that.

    Dear LIberal/Femi-Gnatzi Commentors,

This problem does exist already in America's Oriental/Asian Community. You may laugh and snigger and try and label Congressman Franks as some out of touch "tea party" Conservative all you want.

This "male sexual birth trend" has been investigated by your "Liberal" United Nations for the past 10 years. Reports put out by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Population Fund Commission, the UN Children's Fund (known to Liberals as...UNICEF), and the UN Women's and World Health Organization have all come out on the ever decreasing female birth rate in India, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and the the Central Asia countries of Armenia, Azerbijan, Georgia and Serbia.

MALE CHILDREN BRING MONEY INTO THE FAMILY TO THE CITIZENS (and millions of immigrant, the legal kind, into America) OF THESE NATIONS...........FEMALE CHILDREN ARE AN EXPENSE (DOWERIES, EDUCATION, FOOD, CLOTHING AND SHELTER) TO THESE NATIONAL, RACIAL AND ETHNIC GROUPS.

“The one-child policy is 25 years old, so the first generation is just now reaching marriage age, and for China that's a big problem because it is estimated that as many as 40 million of its young men could spend their lives as bachelors.” http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-18560_162-1496589.html

I don’t know about anyone else, I think this issue will level out in the next generation. If not, well, it’s one way, albeit cruel, to solve overpopulation.

There is no credible evidence that any abortion has been performed in the United States based on sexual selection.

Nice that Trent has time on his hands to work on non-existent issues.

" God " performs thousands of abortions every day around the world. We call them " miscarriages " .

How do you know " God " didn't abort some of those thousands of fetuses because he didn't want too many girls / boys?

    Prove it.

It is our responsibility to protect the the most innocent amoungst us who cannot protect themselves. Out of 300,000 abortions that occur yearly, just how many do you think are actually from insest, rape, or protecting the life of the mother. How many are birth control for the irresponsible? That is the problem that all people should be disgusted by. We live in an irresponsible society that belives this is OK.

I wonder how many of these anti-choicers would change their tune if there was a procedure to tell if a fetus was gay or not.

They'd be lining up for the test. And making sure abortion stays legal! LOL

The Death PENALTY is cruel and unusual(and waterboarding), but ending an innocent life is ok. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

"but ending an innocent life is ok"

    How nice and vague. *yawn*

So either chuckles3 does not eat, or he just admitted to having a mental disorder.

    Unintentional irony is hilarious!

It puzzles me that there seems to be absolutely no concern amongst the pro-life community over the treatment of pregnant women in Maricopa County's jails. There are women who want their babies, but who are given grossly inadequate nutrition for their unborn, are frequently appropriate denied medical care, and are mis-treated in other ways.

All of which has resulted in miscarriages - abortions induced by mistreatment of pregnant women under the care of the Maricopa County Jails.

Cannot everyone at least agree that mothers who do not want abortions should not have their unborn children killed by malnutrition, denial of necessary medical care and other mistreatment when in our care?

I cannot understand how these horrible attrocities can be permitted to continue to happen in our County.
