It’s funny, I keep hearing about all of these opinion polls that indicate that Joe Arpaio’s popularity is sliding, but I have never been called to take part in a poll, nor has anyone that I’ve talked to. No one has ever asked my opinion about our sheriff, and I can only think that it’s because I’m a registered Republican and therefore conservative in my politics, and I’m unwilling to let multitudes of illegal aliens come in and deplete our resources. Please don’t misunderstand me — I’m not anti-immigrant by any means. My own grandparents were immigrants. BUT, I wholeheartedly support Sheriff Joe’s attempts to enforce the law. If people can’t enter the United States legally, they shouldn’t be here. If someone is here illegally, the only “right” they have is to be escorted back across the border.

To a lot of people far from Arizona, Joe Arpaio and events in Maricopa County are a little obscure, and below the radar. What DOES get around the country is news blurbs about some special interest complaining about Sheriff Joe and how mean and uncompassionate he is to thw world's downtrodden, yada, yada. Oh, the horror of laws actually being enforced! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
