  Jose,
  I often learn about some quirky twist in history when I read your columns. Here you have introduced me to the Jazz Age; people who undoubtedly influenced the Beat generation of writers.
  Yes, I saw the Mexican icon exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum. Not a bad show, all things considered. My favorite artist, and one I had not known previously, was Manuel Serrano. Good stuff!
