“With the U.S. under attack again, I ask myself: Do I feel more comfortable with Obama in the White House than I did with George Bush? Hands down, I felt better after 9/11 with George Bush than I do today with Obama. It is his weakness that allowed for this most recent attack.”

“Listen people, if Romney was president, we would be sending troops to Libya to fight another war with no end. His war mongering should be troubling to anyone.”

“I have not had a pay increase in four years. In fact, I had a 5 percent pay decrease two years ago. My insurance benefits have been reduced but my out-of-pocket cost for insurance has increased. My 401k is down, my savings and investments are down, and the value of my house is down. Four years ago, my income was higher and my cost of living was lower. No, I am not better off than I was four years ago.”

“Judging from the amount of money being poured into the GOP super-PACs, a lot of Republicans have been doing very, very, very well under Obama’s administration.”

“ ‘First I was for national health care before I was against; now I am in favor of some national health care. Next week, I don’t know what I will be for.’ — Twit Romney.”

“Once again, a police dog’s name will be added to the capitol K9 honor memorial, killed by the incompetency and neglect of his policeman partner.”

“Recently, the former Arizona House Speaker ran for the U.S. House. He ran against Matt Salmon, but lost. It’s hard to run a dishonest campaign and win. This was a very hard and costly lesson for Kirk Adams, but he will have eight years to repent and possibly try again.”

“House Republicans tried to repeal President Obama’s signature health care law for the 31st time in 18 months. Every vote to repeal or dismantle the law has predictably died upon or before reaching the Democratic-controlled Senate, but House Speaker John Boehner said, ‘We want to show people we are resolved to get rid of this.’ ”

Accuracy ... it's not much of a mandate when individual states can opt out.

    That's more of a suggestion.

Just because there is something in the law that you, personally, don't like doesn't make it a " government takeover ".
If you were required to buy a government insurance program, such as Medicare and all private insurance companies were restricted to selling Medicare supplement policies ( actually a good idea ) then you would be justified in talking about a takeover.

A takeover might not be a bad thing.Virtually every other industrialized country has opted for a single payer system not private insurance.

ObamaCare is NOT a government takeover of health care?

Obama's abortion-pill mandate is clear: if you pay for (ObamaCare) health insurance in any way, you must pay for the abortion pill.

Even though States may legally choose NOT to subsidize the life-ending work of abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood.

Accuracy ... the Republicans will NEVER repeal Obamacare because it is everything they have wanted for a long long time ... except for the clauses that require them to spend at least 82% of premiums on benefits to subscribers instead of the previous 60 - 70%. And the clause that they can't reject people with pre-existing conditions.

They may -- technically -- repeal Obamacare but they will immediately replace it with a bill that is exactly the same except for those clauses.

Obamacare is NOT a government takeover of health care, no matter how much the righties scream about it.

It requires people to BUY medical insurance from a FOR PROFIT PRIVATE INSURANCE COMPANY -- NOT THE GOVERNMENT.

VENT # 8 – Concerning health-care politics; The Obama administration and the Republicans did come to an agreement on President Obama's new health care law. Both sides are now calling it “ObamaCare”.

The House Republicans have now voted to repeal ObamaCare for the 33rd time . . . but the Democrats control the U.S. Senate, and while both sides are still at each others throats over the law, it will go nowhere.

To repeal ObamaCare, the American people must first repeal Barack Obama.

I would be more interested to know how many times each party has tried to get a budget bill passed during these last 3 1/2 years. And then compare that to their actions during the four years previous.

8th venter: the Republicans actually LOVE " Obamacare " despite their screaming hissy fits.

Although the Republicans love to scream " government takeover of health care ", they know that in fact it is the opposite.

Boehner actually said " I got 98% of what I wanted " from his negotiating with Obama on the Health Care Act.

The act requires people to buy insurance from FOR PROFIT INSURANCE COMPANIES -- not the government.

The things they don't like are the requirement to spend at least 82% of premiums on benefits to subscribers. Previously they only paid out 60 - 70%. This cuts into Executive BONUSES and they are NOT HAPPY.

They also don't like the fact the can't refuse people with pre-existing conditons. That cuts into profits and Executive BONUSES. And they are NOT HAPPY.

Otherwise they pretty much love everything about " Obamacare " which should actually be called " Boehnercare " because it was almost all his ideas.
