2 Tempe schools to be replaced with new campuses
LAST DAY: First-grade teacher Kelly Haunschild gives goodbye hugs to her students, including Itzel Lopez, who cries while waiting to be picked up from Thew Elementary School in Tempe on Thursday. The campus closed its doors for good, to be torn down and replaced this fall by a new Thew school building.
