Gov. Janet Napolitano is heading out to Indiana this weekend to stump for Democratic presidential hopeful Barrack Obama just days before the Hoosier state holds its pivotal primary elections.
This is one of several out-of-state trips she has made on Obama’s behalf.
The Arizona governor is scheduled to make a quick stop Sunday about 4 p.m. in Valparaiso, Ind., about an hour drive east of Chicago, according to the Illinois senator’s campaign Web site.
Napolitano made the somewhat surprising decision in January to choose Obama over Sen. Hillary Clinton and has actively campaigned for him since. The Obama campaign has used Napolitano in television, radio and print ads across the country.
Voters in Indiana, which has emerged as a crucial state in the protracted fight for the Democratic nomination, head to the polls Tuesday.
Napolitano is expected back in Arizona Sunday night.
