US Airways said it will begin nonstop flights between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Montego Bay, Jamaica on Dec. 17. It will be the first nonstop flights operated by the Tempe-based carrier from Phoenix to a Caribbean destination.

The seasonal service, which will operate four days weekly and run though April 12, will use Airbus 319 jet aircraft.

Through connecting flights at Sky Harbor, US Airways will give 28 western cities one-stop, same day service to Montego Bay, said Senior Vice President Andrew Nocella.

Customers can book flights through the US Airways Web site at or by calling US Airways Reservations at 1-800-428-4322.
