Three teenagers were taken into custody by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in connection with a string of vandalism in Fountain Hills.
Deputies said the boys admitted last weekend scrawling racial and anti-Semitic slogans in shoe polish on the windows of vehicles belonging to black and Jewish families.
Residents of Fountain Hills rallied to support the victims of those crimes Wednesday night as Sheriff Joe Arpaio announced the arrests.
The suspects are ages 15, 17 and 18 and face criminal damage charges.
Authorities said the 18-year-old, Alex Castellanos, will be charged as an adult and will also face charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The sheriff's office also said the parents of the teens will be cited under a city ordinance
