Longtime Valley sportscaster Tom Dillon, who was the voice of Arizona State University for 20 years, died at his Phoenix home early Tuesday.
Dillon was named Arizona sportscaster of the year 17 times by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He was the play-by-play man for the Arizona Cardinals for 12 years, a stint that ended after the 2001 season. He also called games for Fox Sports Arizona.
Dillon was 65. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, with whom he had worked as a realtor with Bonnie Dillon Luxury Homes the past few years.
