A storm moving into Arizona on Sunday is expected to bring strong winter weather and hazardous driving conditions this week.
Much of the snow and rain is expected to hit Monday and continue through at least Wednesday. Rain showers are expected in the greater Phoenix area and throughout much of the state.
Between 3 and 10 inches of snow are expected at higher elevations.
Fog is expected in much of the state Thursday and Friday, possibly reducing visibility for drivers.
National Weather Service officials say drivers also can expect slippery roads this week and urge them to use extreme caution.
