Two Phoenix men have been arrested in connection with a rash of mobile-phone store burglaries in Mesa and Gilbert, police said.
Warren Johnson, 25, and Ralph Boone, 26, were taken into custody after police say they caught them breaking into the T-Mobile store in Chandler.
The suspects arrived at the store around 2:45 a.m. Thursday where undercover detectives say they noticed them doing a surveillance of the area.
According to police reports, the suspects forced entry into the store around 4 a.m. by smashing the front glass window with a sledgehammer.
The property crimes unit, with the help of two K-9 officers, arrested the men on suspicion of burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Police said the men are responsible for more than $12,000 in damages and stolen items.
