Leonard Davis is on the verge of being an ex-Cardinal. Multiple outlets, including both Dallas-area newspapers, reported Sunday that Davis is in the process of finalizing a long-term deal with the Cowboys that should be worth the going rate for free-agent linemen -- around $50 million for a seven-year contract.

The decision by Davis is no surprise, since he has long wanted to play in Dallas near his hometown of Wortham, Texas. The Cardinals had hoped to get a final chance to re-sign Davis, but they knew once Davis became an unrestricted free agent his return was unlikely.

The departure of Davis makes the Cards' free-agent visits Sunday that much more important. The Cards are hosting two offensive linemen: Bills tackle Mike Gandy and Cowboys center Al Johnson.

Eagles cornerback Rod Hood and Bengals tight end Reggie Kelly are also visiting Sunday.

Rams cornerback Travis Fisher and Bengals safety Kevin Kaesviharn are due in Monday to visit Arizona.
