Arizona State sophomore guard Christian Polk has been granted a release from his scholarship and will transfer this summer.
Polk, a 6-foot-3 guard from Glendale Deer Valley, saw his playing time slashed significantly from his freshman year, when he averaged 12 points in 29 minutes per game, seventh-best in school history for points per game by a freshman.
With the additions of James Harden, Ty Abbott and Jamelle McMillan this season, Polk only played in 22 games, and averaged 12.5 minutes and 3.5 points per contest.
