An early-morning collision Feb. 29 between a Maricopa Unified School District bus and a motorcycle did not injure Maricopa High School students or critically injure the rider of the motorcycle.
According to a press release from the district, the bus was traveling along State Route 347 near the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway when it collided with the motorcycle. None of the 12 students onboard the bus at the time of the accident – 8:20 a.m. – were injured, but the driver was evacuated by ambulance for evaluation purposes.
The driver of the motorcycle was air-lifted to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
