A semitrailer fire Saturday evening closed Interstate 10 at Baseline Road in Tempe.
Department of Public Safety officials were unsure if the tractor-trailer had anything inside it at the time of the fire about 6 p.m.
Officials were still determining late Saturday how the fire started.
Authorities reopened the eastbound lane of I-10 at 7 p.m. at Baseline but kept the on-ramp closed while the fire was extinguished.
