Valley of the Sun United Way names 2007 chairman

The Valley of the Sun United Way has chosen Ben Campbell, chief executive of JP Morgan Chase Bank in Arizona, as chairman of this year's fundraising campaign.

“Valley of the Sun United Way is truly privileged to have Ben Campbell lead the 2007 campaign,” Merl Waschler, president of Valley of the Sun United Way, stated in a press release. “His commitment to our community is extraordinary and we look forward to a successful year under his leadership.”

Campbell has more than 30 years of experience with JP Morgan Chase Bank, and oversees an operation that employs 9,200 Arizonans. In addition, the new chairman is involved with organizations focused on strengthening communities across the Valley. He also is a board officer of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.
