A Chandler serial rapist has now been linked by physical evidence to three of five cases, police said Wednesday.

Chandler police spokesman Sgt. Rick Griner wouldn’t elaborate on what physical evidence they have but said it connects the latest crime that occurred on June 8 to cases from Jan. 16 and Jan. 31.

Chandler has had five sexual assaults dating from June 2006 to June 8 of this year where the attacker has targeted girls between the ages of 12 and 14 who live east and west of Arizona Avenue.

Police don’t have physical evidence from the June 2006 attack and a March attack since the victims in those cases waited to report the crimes, Griner said.

Police have developed and have received more than 1,150 leads with 348 of those coming since the last attack which occurred at a mobile home park on Warner Road.

There is a $25,000 reward through Silent Witness for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Anyone with information can call the Chandler Police Department at (480) 782-4479 or Silent Witness at (480) 948-6377.
