Shevy was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor in December. His wish to be a police officer was granted when he was fitted with a custom-made uniform to fit his 4-foot 2-inch body. He was given a badge, a locker at the Chandler police station and a license plate with his badge number. He also spent the day doing various police activities, including a ride-along in a police car and a trip in a helicopter.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chandler Christian Church, 1825 S. Alma School Road. Burial will be in Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler.
