Police corner suspect; schools on lockdown

Mesa police have cornered a burglary suspect in a home at 24th Street and Brown Road and have two nearby schools in lockdown.

The man committed a burglary in the area then ran from police, Mesa police spokesman Detective Jerry Gissel said at 2:45 p.m.

Mountain View High School and Hale Elementary School are on lockdown.
