His Royal Highness Prince Andrew plans to meet with Governor Janet Napolitano Tuesday to firm up business ties between Arizona and the United Kingdom.

The prince is his country’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.

According to Prince Andrew’s official schedule, the governor is slated to host a lunch for the royal visitor and the chief executives of local companies.

She also is expected to attend an evening reception for the prince at 6:30 at the Frank Lloyd Wright Ballroom at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix.

During his one-day stopover in the state, Prince Andrew also is scheduled to visit Honeywell Aerospace, Scottsdale-based Web domain peddler GoDaddy.com and the Resolution Copper Mine in Superior.

He might even make a side trip to a local supermarket.

The prince has been drumming up support for British-based Tesco’s U.S. stores, Fresh & Easy markets. He attended the opening of a California supermarket earlier today. Fresh & Easy has recently moved into the crowded Arizona grocery marketplace.
