Mesa police are investigating a homicide in the 900 block of South Mesa Drive.
Diana Tapia, Mesa police spokeswoman, said officers responded to a 911 hangup call at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to find a man who was standing outside the residence and waved them down.
Inside the residence they found a Hispanic man, probably no older than 25, lying dead with a gunshot wound.
Detectives are still trying to identify the victim and are interviewing witnesses, Tapia said.
“We don’t know anything about him,” she said.
