Repaving work on Sunday will close parts of the Interstate 10 interchange at Queen Creek Road.
Shut from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be the exit ramp from the freeway to eastbound Queen Creek and the entrance ramp to westbound I-10. During this time, crews will be removing the old pavement along both ramps and laying down a new layer of asphalt.
While the two ramps are closed, drivers are encouraged to use as alternate routes the interchanges at Wild Horse Pass Boulevard or Riggs Road.
The Arizona Department of Transportation also is advising drivers to exercise caution if using the Queen Creek overpass, which will remain open to through traffic.
