You can try your hand at wakeboarding, golf, archery and a handful of other sports without ever breaking a sweat.
A mobile game-playing station featuring "Wii Sports Resort," the Nintendo game released in July, will stop this weekend at Arizona Mills Mall. Gamers of all ages are invited to try their hand at the game for free.
Like the original "Wii Sports," "Wii Sports Resort" functions by use of motion controls, requiring users to make movements similar to moves they'd make if they were actually engaged in the activity; however, it uses Nintendo's new Wii MotionPlus enhancements, designed to deliver more precise movements and sensations. Set on a simulated island resort oasis, it offers 12 activities, including Frisbee, table tennis, basketball and canoeing.
Want to play? Visit the mobile game station noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday or noon to 7 p.m. Sunday in the food court at Arizona Mills, 5000 Arizona Mills Circle, Tempe.
