A woman was shot in her stomach during a possible robbery as she closed up her Mesa restaurant Monday evening, police said.
The shooting occurred about 7:40 p.m. at a Mexican restaurant at 535 E. Southern Avenue, police said. No suspect was immediately located.
Paramedics responded to the scene. The victim, whose name hasn't been released, suffered a non life-threatening injury, police said.
No suspect or vehicle descriptions were immediately available.
