A man was stabbed in the face and side after he gave his two robbers $1.80 during a robbery in Mesa late Saturday.
The victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, told police he was approached by two Hispanic males when he was walking eastbound in the 800 block of East University Drive shortly after 9 p.m. and one of the men flashed a knife and demanded his money.
After the victim gave the suspects $1.80, they fled on foot, but when police arrived on the scene, they were unable to locate them.
The robbers were described as both being 17 to 20 years old and wearing black shirts.
