Three people were injured, including one seriously, in a three-vehicle collision in the southbound lane of the Loop 101 freeway near the Indian School Road exit this afternoon.
The crash happened at 3;30 p.m., causing a Volkswagen Beetle to burst into flames, said Bart Graves, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.
Southbound lanes are congested while officers investigate, and motorists are being routed off the freeway at the southbound Via de Ventura exit, Graves said.
