A search committee of the Arizona Board of Regents last week named Thomas Anderes as the finalist for the position of president of the board, a job currently called executive director.
Since 2008, Anderes has served as senior vice president for administration and fiscal affairs at the University of Wisconsin system. He held other positions in the Oregon University System and at the University and Community College System of Nevada, as well as Arizona State University.
Contract negotiations are underway. When finalized, Anderes will replace Joel Sideman, who will retire on June 30 after more than 20 years at the Arizona Board of Regents.
