Ford Motor Company and Newman's Own awarded a refrigerated Ford F-550 to Mesa's United Food Bank last week.

The truck will help the organization as it collects and delivers food boxes.

The United Food Bank has seen emergency food box requests skyrocket by nearly 60 percent over last year.

Along with the truck, the food bank will receive donations from the community as a result of a two-week food drive held at 11 Valley Ford dealerships.

Community members can receive a free general admission ticket (while supplies last) to the Arizona Science Center for donating five food items to the United Food Bank as part of the "Partnership for Hunger Relief."
