Scottsdale police are investigating a trash can fire that forced the evacuation of Coronado High School as an arson.

The fire was started by an unknown person shortly after noon on Wednesday in a restroom trash can. It caused the evacuation of the school for about a half-hour.

The blaze was discovered by a teacher and a security guard, both of whom extinguished the fire. The building was not damaged and no one was injured.
