A man with a rifle was shot by a Tempe police officer early this morning on 7th Street and Farmer Avenue, police said.
The man was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said police spokesman Brandon Banks.
No names were released.
Police expect to release more information later this morning.
