Two brothers suspected of beating and sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman for three days in a Tempe home were arrested Saturday.
Tempe police arrested William "Billy" Watson, 21, about 4:25 a.m. after spotting him in a car, officials said.
His younger brother, Keoni Watson, was arrested about 5:45 a.m. at a house that was under police surveillance, officials said.
Both men were booked into Maricopa County's Madison Street Jail in Phoenix and could face rape charges. Police are still looking for a third person in the attack.
William Watson, who sometimes goes by the name Billy Bonanno, also is suspected of shooting a man in the chest Jan. 27, 2001, without provocation, police said.
For three days last week, police suspect that the brothers and another man held the woman captive at 1129 S. Stratton Lane while they drugged, beat and sexually assaulted her. The woman told police she met one of the men Sunday night and went to the home with them.
Police said they do not know why she went there.
A man visiting the home Wednesday evening rescued her and drove her to the police station. He told the attackers that he thought the woman was dead. But the men continued to beat her to prove she was still alive, police said.
Police said the attackers did not allow the man to take the woman out of the home. He waited for the right moment, grabbed her and drove her to the police station, officials said.
The woman was taken to a Valley hospital and is expected to survive.
