Another winter storm is about to hammer Arizona, leading officials to warn drivers to be extra careful in the next couple of days.
The strong Pacific storm will begin to affect Arizona on Wednesday afternoon and will continue through Christmas Day.
The National Weather Service says a cold front moving eastward Thursday and Friday could bring intense busts of snow and strong winds, and dump up to a foot and a half of snow at elevations above 5,000 feet.
Snow is also expected at elevations as low as 3,000 feet, which includes parts of the Phoenix metro area.
As much as two inches of rain and very cold nights are expected in the Phoenix area. Lower elevations likely will be in the mid-20s to mid-30s.
