A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday in Gilbert on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl who had too much to drink at a party.
Jeremy Cardona was arrested after the girl ran away, called 911 and hid until help arrived, according to a posting Monday on the Gilbert police Web site.
The girl told police that Cardona, who had also been drinking, twice made unwanted sexual advances on her – even while she was feeling sick from drinking, the posting said.
Authorities did not say where the assault took place. Cardona was held on suspicion of two counts of sexual contact with a minor.
