A Phoenix developer is planning to build two multi-story office buildings and retail stores near downtown Chandler.

On the northwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Loop 202, the project would include 360,000 square feet of office space, plus 10 buildings for shops.

Developer Meridian West also has conceptual plans for a possible hotel and more retail space, city planner Bill Dermody said.

“This concept is exactly what we envisioned for this corner,” Dermody said.

Chandler’s Planning and Zoning Commission will vote on whether to approve preliminary plans for the project on Wednesday.
