The U.S. Army Recruiting Command and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will sign an agreement Wednesday to provide priority hiring status to qualified soldiers participating in the Army’s Partnership for Youth Success Program.

The agreement will be signed at 9 a.m. during a ceremony at the Sheriff’s Training Center, 2627 S. 35th Avenue in Phoenix.

Officials said the Army’s Partnership for Youth Success Program involves certain U.S. corporations and government agencies nationwide who help the Army attract and train youths looking to serve the country and have successful careers.

Through the new partnership, enlistees can train to work in law enforcement while serving in the Army and can then interview for jobs with the Sheriff’s office.
