Tempe police are searching for four men in the armed robbery of a restaurant early Thursday.

The Denny’s at 1994 W. Baseline Road was hit around 2:30 a.m. The robbers forced the employees and customers to the floor, took their belongings and then grabbed the money from the restaurant’s cash register, police said.

The men were last seen in a black midsize SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, fleeing west on Baseline.

There were no reported injuries among the five victims.

The robbers are described as black, in their early 20s, wearing dark clothing and dark caps. Three men covered their faces with dark bandannas, and the fourth wore a white bandanna.
