A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after police say a pickup truck driver did not see the biker and pulled in front of the vehicle in Gilbert.
Sgt. Mark Marino of the Gilbert Police Department said the motorcyclist was traveling south on Gilbert Road around 1:25 p.m. when the truck pulled in front of him from a neighborhood at Ivanhoe Street, between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard.
The pickup truck driver was attempting to make a left turn, but did not see the motorcyclist, Marino said.
The two vehicles collided and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the people involved have not been released.
The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet, Marino said, adding that speed, drugs or alcohol were not factors in the incident.
