Scottsdale police arrested a couple after a tip that a child inside a hotel room was in danger.

Officers responded Wednesday evening to Homestead Studio Suites in Scottsdale.

There, police say they found a couple and baby in a filthy room with marijuana.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Amanda Reza and 26-year-old Tyrone Hall. The couple were booked on numerous charges, including child endangerment. The child was placed in state custody.

Scottsdale police say a hotel employee called police after she saw Reza with fresh bruises. The employee was also concerned for the welfare of the infant.

Officers said they determined that both Reza and Hall had been smoking marijuana with the baby in the room prior to police knocking on the door.
