At 6:05 a.m. today, the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to an injury collision on westbound Loop 202 at Higley Road.
A vehicle traveling on the off ramp hit a light pole. Gilbert fire officials said a victim was air-lifted from the scene, but DPS didn’t know who was in the vehicle or if there were injuries.
There is some gravel debris and a sweeper is enroute to the scene.
The roadway is open.
