Police are investigating the stabbing of a 20-year-old Hispanic male who was found lying with life-threatening injuries outside a Mesa hospital Monday night.

Authorities declined to release the man’s identity, but said he was dropped off about 8:30 p.m. by an unknown vehicle outside Banner Mesa Medical Center. Detectives are reviewing the hospital’s security videos to see if a camera outside the emergency room recorded the vehicle.

The man was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn for treatment.
