And you don't have to set foot in the church. Or even get out of your car.

Between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday, members of Chandler Christian Church, 1824 S. Alma School Road, will stage a drive-through prayer event.

Just pull into the church parking lot, roll down your window, and a church member will pray for you on the spot, said Matt Myers, associate pastor.

"We know that people are hurting," Myers said. "We're just saying, 'Hey, if you're hurting, drive on through. Can we pray for you?'"

Myers said the church is trying to reach out to the community and help people who might not want to come into a church but could use a little heavenly help dealing with life woes.
