SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Ahwatukee’s Shaun Chase pitched a complete-gameshutout and hit a solo homer in the first inning to power the Dawgs to a 1-0 victory over Lemont, Ill. in the Little League World Series Saturday.

Chase’s homer was his fourth in a row dating back to the Western Regional

Final in San Bernardino, Calif.

Chase then made his homer hold up by throttling Lemont’s bats. He gave up

just one hit, and only one batter got on base after the second inning.

Ahwatukee, now 1-0 in pool play, will face Columbus, Ga., Sunday at 10 a.m.

Arizona time.

The game will be televised by ESPN.
