The McDonald's on Apache Trail in Apache Junction was charred by a blaze Tuesday.

Fire investigators are looking for what caused a blaze that destroyed an Apache Junction McDonald’s Tuesday.
According to Battalion Chief Dave Montgomery, the fire began about 3:13 a.m. at the store just east of Delaware Drive on Apache Trail, which is open 24 hours.
The two employees got out safely, Montgomery said.
He said the building was fully engulfed with flames when firefighters arrived.
“It was a defensive fire from the get go,” Montgomery said.
