Mesa Mountain View shooting guard Brooke Jackson is headed to Brigham Young University this fall to play basketball, Toros coach Henry Bribiescas said Tuesday.

Jackson completed a brilliant four-year career in March by leading the Toros to a runner-up finish in 5A Division I. She averaged 18 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 4.8 steals per game. Mountain View reached the 5A semfinals in 2005-2006 with Jackson leading the way.

Jackson holds all but one career record of consequence at Mountain View. She also holds the state single-season scoring record for the 5A conference, tallying 849 points in the 2005-2006 season. Jackson also was a standout volleyball player at Mountain View.
