The Gilbert Unified School District governing board will discuss the bargaining process for teachers' contracts during a 6 p.m. meeting Tuesday at the district office, 140 S. Gilbert Road.
Several teachers complained at a school board meeting last week about this year’s bargaining process, which has changed because of recent budget cuts.
District officials will give a brief history of the district’s “interest-based bargaining,” the process and concerns, the future of the bargaining, and expectations for the upcoming school year.
There will also be a presentation on National Board-certified teachers.
