A man accused of a recent sexual assault in Tempe has been arrested, police said today.
Robert Douglas Nowak, 25, of Tempe allegedly pushed down a woman last Sunday and groped her before running away.
The woman and another witness identified Nowak on Friday, shortly after he had been taken into custody for a separate incident. He was booked on one count of sexual abuse.
Police said they found Nowak Friday morning in a supermarket women’s bathroom. Authorities had been called to the Basha’s at 3115 S. McClintock Dr. because a man was bothering female students of nearby McClintock High School.
