The man who led police on a chase through Phoenix July 27 isn’t yet facing murder charges for the death of four newsmen killed when two helicopters following the chase collided, according to authorities.
A grand jury indicted Christopher Jermaine Jones, 23, on 12 charges Tuesday including four counts of aggravated assault.
Since the crash, police said Jones could be held responsible for the deaths. But prosecutors will not determine additional charges until police and aviation officials complete their investigation of the crash.
Jones’ arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 15.
